Keeping the Dust in the Kitchen
Stripping out an old kitchen produces fine dust that travels through a house for weeks if nothing stops it, and in a home with air conditioning it goes wherever the air goes. The work zone is sealed rather than tidied afterwards: sheeting across openings, doorways taped, floors protected along the route the team walks, and the air conditioning in the working area shut down so it is not distributing what has just been released. It costs a morning at the start and saves cleaning the whole house at the end.

Which Days You Lose Water, Power and the Kitchen
The question everybody asks is how long they will be without a kitchen, and it deserves an answer before the work starts rather than an estimate during it. The schedule sets out which days the water is off, when the power to that part of the house is isolated, and the window between the old kitchen coming out and the new one being usable. Where the worktop is templated after installation, that adds a known gap rather than an unexplained one. Knowing the dates is what lets you plan around them.
